You can request permanent deletion of your Lane Pilot account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to request it and what happens to your data.

How to request deletion

Email us from the address associated with your Lane Pilot account, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." We verify the request comes from the account owner, then process it.

Or email service@lanepilot.io directly. We respond within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Your account and login credentials
Your diagnostic session history (fault codes, VIN/vehicle data, queries, CAN-bus logs)
Any diagnostic images you uploaded
Usage and error logs linked to your account

What we keep, and why

Some records are retained only as required by law or to complete the deletion:

Billing records — retained for 7 years to comply with U.S. tax and financial regulations.
Account data — fully removed within 30 days of a verified request.
Diagnostic history — deleted within 90 days of account termination.
Uploaded images — deleted from cloud storage within 12 months of upload, or sooner on request.

Payment card details are never stored by Lane Pilot — they are handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe).
