Straight answer: iPhone and iPad don't scan. Every iOS browser runs on Apple's WebKit engine, which doesn't support Bluetooth connections to OBD adapters. On iOS, Lane Pilot runs the front desk — the Service Bay board, reports, and vehicle history. Scanning happens in Chrome on Android or on the bay computer.
Reports & front desk
Once installed, Lane Pilot keeps working when the bay Wi-Fi drops — your reports and session history stay on the device. Updates arrive automatically from the web; there is never a store update to wait on.
