Open Lane Pilot on your phone or tablet, tap "Connect Scanner," and pair your standard or professional OBD-II adapter via Web Bluetooth. No apps to download, no drivers to install. Runs in Chrome or Edge on Android, Windows, macOS or Chromebook — iOS has no Web Bluetooth, so the scanner needs a Chromium browser.
The WebScanner reads all pending and stored DTCs, streams 49+ live PIDs at 2.5Hz (RPM, fuel trims, O2 sensors, coolant temp), pulls readiness monitor status, and captures freeze frame data — all before the Diagnostic Engine even starts. Deep Scan mode captures every supported PID the ECU reports.
A Dispatcher extracts the faults and routes the query, an NHTSA agent pulls recalls and complaints, a Mechanic synthesises the root cause, and a Foreman runs the safety and compliance pass. The full multi-specialist fan-out — including wiring and waveform specialists — is a Multi-Bay feature. Result: a ranked diagnostic plan that names the next test to run — not a forum link.
One tap generates a shop-branded PDF report with vehicle identification, all detected DTCs, the full diagnostic analysis, step-by-step repair procedures, and a parts forecast table. Works completely offline. Hand it to the customer or attach it to the repair order.
