Can I use the scanner without a subscription?
Yes. Reading and clearing codes and viewing live data are free with a compatible adapter and browser. Your account also includes 3 free diagnostic sessions. Check your device and adapter compatibility.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, for shops. The Shop trial gives your whole shop 30 days and 50 diagnostic sessions, shared by every login, with no credit card. Each shop gets one trial. On day 31 the account goes back to the free plan and keeps its vehicle history; nothing is charged automatically. Start the Shop trial.
Which plan should I choose?
Start with the number of technicians who need access: Solo Pro includes 1 login, Shop includes 6, and Multi-Bay includes 12. Fleet includes 36 across up to 5 locations. Then compare your expected monthly sessions and the overage terms.
What happens when I use all my sessions?
Solo Pro stops at 200 sessions with no overage charges. Shop includes 700 sessions per month. Both Shop monthly and annual have a hard cap with no overage charges. Multi-Bay includes 2,000 sessions, then refills in $20 blocks of 100. Fleet includes 6,000 pooled sessions, then refills in $15 blocks of 100 on monthly billing. Annual Fleet has a hard cap with no overage charges.
What counts as a session?
A diagnostic case on one car is one session, including its follow-up questions. An estimate and a customer summary each use one more session per job; regenerating or refining either on the same job uses no more. Editing estimate lines with the Diagnostic Engine is also one more session per job. Scanning, live data, and clearing codes do not use sessions. Image analysis has fair-use caps.
Is annual billing available?
Yes. Shop annual is available at $1,990 per year (equivalent to $165.83/month, saving $398/year compared to monthly), with 700 sessions each month and no overage charges. Annual Fleet billing ($8,388 per year, equivalent to $699 per month), with 6,000 pooled sessions each month and no overage charges, is arranged with our sales team rather than through checkout: email service@lanepilot.io. Solo Pro and Multi-Bay are billed monthly.
What happens if I cancel?
Your access continues until the end of the billing period you paid for. Your diagnostic history and reports stay in your account, and exported PDFs are yours to keep. You can resubscribe later.
